Objective Focal Length
This tutorial explores how changes in objective magnification and tube length affect the focal length of infinity-corrected microscope systems.
To operate the tutorial, use your mouse cursor to move the slider bars on the left and right of the optical components. The left slider controls the tube length, which varies from 160 to 210 millimeters. The right slider controls the objective magnification, which varies from 5X to 60X. The focal length is calculated according to the equations directly to the right of the optical components.
