Details of the mitochondrial network are revealed in this bovine pulmonary artery cell, which was resident in a culture labeled with MitoTracker Red CMXRos, a derivative of X-rosamine. DNA in the nucleus was also targeted with DRAQ5. Images were recorded with a 60x oil immersion objective using a zoom factor of 6.0 and sequential scanning with the 543-nanometer line from a green helium-neon laser and the 633-nanometer line of a red helium-neon laser. During the processing stage, the MitoTracker Red CMXRos image channel was pseudocolored red, while the DRAQ5 image channel was pseudocolored cyan.
